PURPOSE OF PRESENTATION: The C&I Committee has requested an update on the new Elementary Health Curriculum that the Board approved on March 23, 2022. The presentation will include an overview of the curriculum writing process, a timeline for next steps with curriculum development, parent previews and “opt- out” provisions, and a discussion of opportunities for the Board to receive feedback from the community on instructional materials.

 

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY: Much of this presentation was to be shared at the Family Life Advisory Council (FLAC) meeting held on April 5, 2022.
