PURPOSE OF PRESENTATION:  To provide information relevant to the elementary school day.  The content areas of Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM), Math, Language Arts, Science, and Social Studies will present an overview of their respective instructional programs.

BACKGROUND/SUMMARY:  This Board requested presentation will highlight progress made in the elementary schools over the years.  Curriculum staff will share information about framework including curriculum integration, resources/texts, assessments, student work samples, and support for teachers.  Curriculum specialists will provide a summary of their respective programs with an opportunity to answer questions.

PROCESS STATEMENT:  Elementary curriculum specialists have worked collaboratively over the last two months to prepare this presentation.  Information regarding the elementary school day was requested at a recent regular Board meeting.
